Yeah of course the substitute you have suggested is one of the possible ways...but as you see, the motto behind article to make novice CSS coders understand why some thing is there. 

Same way I could have done other short cut implementation too. e.g.  why I have defined &#039;fs...&#039; classes to represent different font size.

I have written this so anyone can understand why something is there and what can be modified. 

Although I am agree your suggestion is identical and short-cut to my solution.</description>
